Baby Lameck Kibet, from Kenya, had a bout of serious illness but the problem was undetected for a long time before he was diagnosed with Laryngomalacia. This condition was compressing the back of the trachea which further caused breathlessness. The trachea was also too narrow. Baby Lameck was prepared for surgery to repair the heart and the trachea. Irrespective of the high challenges and complications, the surgery was successful and Lameck had a prompt recovery. He could fly back home in sound health and mind.
