In this case, the fertilised egg plants itself outside the uterus: fallopian tube, ovary, or abdominal sites. Mrs. Gupta had immediate surgery using laparoscopy. The surgery was successful in closing the ruptured scar, which had already started to bleed. Post-surgery, Mrs. Gupta had a smooth recovery.
