A 32-year-soldier was admitted to the emergency of the Max Super Speciality Hospital, Bathinda, with a history of a road traffic accident and severe neck pain. CT Cervical spine was done, which suggested the fracture of bilateral pars interarticularis of the C2 vertebra with grade 3 & 4 anterolisthesis of C2 over C3.
Skeletal traction was applied, and listhesis was reduced gradually over seven days. The patient was taken up for surgery on the eighth day of admission & underwent C1, C3 & C4 lateral mass fixation. The patient was discharged on the fourth post-operative day with no neurological deficit.
