23-year-old Akanksha was diagnosed with high-risk Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia (APML) with the appearance of bruises, fever, and bleeding from gums. Her condition further worsened with fungal pneumonia, anal fissure, and torsades, to mention a few. Later on, as part of the treatment plan, the patient was given chemotherapy and medications. Battling numerous challenges, Akanksha had a successful recovery. At the end of the treatment phase, she could return home to a normal and functional life.
